CHANGING WEATHER
The snow and ice have gone to be replaced by milder, windy conditions.
We endeavour to ensure every boat is safe and that damage does not occur, but if there is a problem we will try to contact berth holders as soon as possible.  Likewise, if any berth holder has concerns about their boat please contact the office.

FOOTPATH AND CYCLEWAY
Work has started on an extension to the footpath and cycleway outside the marina that will take it to just beyond the Garden Centre on this side of the road.  The project will take up to 7 weeks to complete during which there should be no disruption to the marina's customers.  Once complete, it should also provide a safe route to the villages of Houghton & Wyton.  More information can be obtained from the Cambridgeshire County council website.

MARINE INDUSTRY AWARD
This year's Scott Deverell Young Businessperson of the Year Award was presented to A.S.A.P. Supplies Ltd Board Director, Shaun Wigley at the recent Boating Business/MTA Awards dinner held during the London Boat Show.  As many will know, Scott was the manager at Hartford Marina until his very premature passing in 2005.  It was his wish that an award be presented every year in his memory to a promising new talent within the leisure marine industry.  A.S.A.P. Supplies is a distributor of marine, automotive and industrial equipment, and one of many key suppliers to our own chandlery, and our congratulations go to Shaun for his achievement.

YOUNG LIVES

Have a look at the Young Lives Blog where you can follow progress with 'Get Creative', a multimedia boat currently berthed at the marina and being fitted out by volunteers.
